Snow day continued.

Above. My first bike and now winter commuter.
Im in need of bigger tires.
Pics from along side the trail.
Ordinarily a ride on the river trail isn't an adventure but today with 3 inches of snow on already frozen ice and a temp around 20 its as much as I wanted.

Redlands water and power.
A year ago I spent the winter here trimming the trees away from the power lines. A great day to admire my work.

A little over two hours of bushwhacking my way through unplowed trails and sliding across ice covered roadways and sidewalks I gave up the ghost and headed for home.
You cant beat a ride so close to home and in all the time I was out I never saw another person out. Very peaceful.

Snow day

While i was unable to make a recent warm weather trip with friends, I was determined not to let it keep me from riding. I got a little motivation from some Arizona desert pics sent to me by a friend, so I picked up an old camera, grabbed my winter commuter and headed out the door.
The Colorado river is less than 1/3 mile from the homestead.
